Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona hosted the second annual meeting of the European Custom IMD,Custom IMD Project on March 5^th and 6^th,organized together with UDIAT Centre Diagnòstic S. A., an advanced technology diagnostic services company which is part of the Corporación Sanitaria Parc Taulí of Sabadell.

The aim of the meeting was to monitor the first results obtained in the project, including the implementation of the first prototypes for validation (technology-material) in the three areas of research: cranial implantation, inter-vertebral disc implantation and dental restoration. All these implants can be personalized and manufactured in innovative materials by Rapid Manufacturing techniques, which enable innovative designs to be achieved and implantation in the patient to occur in a maximum of 48 hours.
