NEOS was a finalist of the International Technology Forum (ITF Forum) 2007 celebrated in Barcelona on 28^th - 29^th of November 2007 and was awarded the Excellence Entrepreneurship Award in the Life Sciences category. This was the first time the ITF was held outside the USA.

The ITF Forum focuses on promoting entrepreneurship and accelerating the growth of new Spanish start-ups. It also seeks to connect entrepreneurs and business leaders from Barcelona with the capital and experience of business leaders in the USA.
